Our Story
Joe earned a mechanical engineering degree from Virginia Tech and met his wife, Keri, there. They settled in the beautiful New River Valley and began a family. Joe worked as an engineer for 5 years before deciding Corporate America wasn’t for him. As he contemplated were he was going next he agreed to help a plumber friend on a whim. Meeting and serving new plumbing clients, sometimes daily, was surprisingly refreshing. The lack of professionalism and quality work in much of the construction world was a stark contrast to the engineering setting he was used to.
He started Looking Up Construction in 2006 because he believed that quality work completed in a professional manner is the key to happy clients and a successful business. It has since developed into a passion to make our client’s dream projects exactly what they hoped for. “It is the most rewarding part of my job to see the light in a clients eyes when they see the finished project.”
